Wigan incident: Police and bomb disposal unit on scene after road cordoned off

Armed police have cordoned off a road in Greater Manchester in connection to Monday's suicide bombing.

Eyewitnesses described seeing a dozen police cars, police helicopters, bomb disposal vans and officers on the scene near Wigan Lane.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose said the Department of State Services (DSS) is behaving like a terror gang by approaching a court in Abuja to secure an order to detain Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah for another 14 days after a Lagos High Court  ordered he should be released within 48 hours or be charged to court.

BREAKING: Senate passes petroleum industry governance bill



The Senate, on Thursday, passed the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill, which seeks to reform the nation’s oil and gas industry.

The PIGB is the first of four bills that replaced the well-known Petroleum Industry Bill, which suffered setbacks in two consecutive legislative tenures.
President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, who presided over the plenary on Thursday, said the lawmakers had broken the jinx of passing the bill.
